Description:
'The film dives into the deeply personal stories and everyday lives of families and communities struggling to fight a goliath. A working mother is forced to turn to public assistance to provide healthcare for her two small children. A Missouri family loses its business after Wal-Mart is given over $2 million to open its doors down the road. A mayor struggles to equip his first responders after Wal-Mart pulls out and relocates just outside the city limits. A community in California unites, takes on the giant, and wins!'
There's more than that, though.
Not trying to guilt anyone.
Just raising awareness.
Oh, and, the last one only had some examples.
That's why I put all the videos down.
I'd appreciate it if you'd watch them all, but I know like no one will.
We watched it in geography.
They're building a new Wal-Mart in my community.
So I took the time to wave goodbye to all the other little stores in the area.
:|
And yeah, not every employee in the store is a racist/sexist.
It's basically the people who ultimately control what's going on, CEOs, etc.
But of course, they're not all racist/sexist either.
They're just abso-fucking-lutely dandy with the fact that people who work a lot with little pay, are in vary unsafe working conditions, and more, are getting paid tiny little wages for all their hard work.
So no, I'm not assuming everyone who works their is racist/sexist.
I'm just saying, other than the staff who are not aware of this, they are indifferent to the fact that child labour, and other unjust means are used to make the products they sell.
Hell, they don't even pay their employees decent wages.
It's not 'designed to support a family' or whatever.
Well you know what?
You ran all the other damn business out.
Where are people supposed to work?
Wal-Mart has more than enough money to pay people who need it.
They even take what they don't need. Government subsidies are uselessly given, instead of to suffering companies who need it.
And who is they?
I've already said it.
The people way up on the Wal-Mart company ladder of injustice, CEOs, etc.
Also, I hate their commercials. They're like the bloody spew of parasite infested rodents that have been run over multiple times roughly a few days ago. That bit is my opion though.
What is also my opion: Wal-Mart is bad.
I will never, ever, shop there again. I don't let my family, either. You guys are still free to, though I recommend you don't.
