In addition, Polygon Jim confirmed that each stage has 5 Acts to it, set up like Sonic Unleashed (2 main stages, 3 side missions). Also uncovered in this datamining operation was an included Sega Genesis emulator, most likely for players to go back and demo limited portions of the 16-bit Sonic games (like the “Masterpieces” section in Super Smash Brothers Brawl, if I had to guess).

As if that wasn’t enough, other members uncovered texture and model data for Modern Knuckles the Echidna and Classic Super Sonic, in addition to level select icons for Green Hill, City Escape, Seaside Hill and Rooftop Run – all of which are included in the below gallery:
