| An Electronic newsletter: An email, sent to certain peoples' inboxes, possibly to advertise or because they have a subscription. Electronic newsletter are useful, as they are sent instantly and do not require to be printed. A subscription to a website will send you newsletters on updates, changes, and information on the subject. Advertisements in Newsletters suggest that the recipient subscribe or join a website, and is sometimes marked as junk or 'spam'.
An electronic newsletter may be sent as a plain text or HTML format. HTML is good if you want to make your email look more impressive, but because it is HTML, it may cause slower downloads. Plain text is a good format as it is viewable to all, and does not require a lengthy downloading process.
Advantages: 1. It can quickly get to someone 2. It does not require to be printed, therefore saving money on ink 3. People can easily send it to friends or family who might be interested 4. The recipient does not need to reveal where he/she lives 5. Postage payment is not required 6. Pictures and other documents can easily be attached
Though, in order to be successful, you must attract the reader's attention with the subject. Most skeptics will see it as a pointless ad and delete it. However, provide you have an interesting subject, people may subscribe to your newsletter, thus benefiting you and whatever your newsletter may be for.
An option to subscribe or unsubscribe should always be provided in the newsletter.
XXX
Now, advice? This is all I have so far. XD

| Nice job, Vix. As for the contributions...-Unless this is an argumentative piece of writing, I suggest you include a few disadvantages. Without these, it can be seen as biased, and you should know that teachers will look at anything to mark you down for. xD -Do not forget about attachments; by sending an email, you can include pictures, videos or documents to further inform the recipient. -Also, there is no real limit to the amount of writing you can put on these, whereas you can only write a certain amount on a piece of paper. -Oh, and don't forget that the recipient does not need to reveal their address. -It also doesn't cost the sender for postage. Now, a little bit of english-nerd advice. xDDDDI think you should be careful to ensure that your writing ties in with the next topic. Take your first paragraph, for example: - Quote :

Advertisements in Newsletters suggest that the recipient subscribe or join a website, and is sometimes marked as junk or 'spam'. This, to me, is just a block of information, with no real relevance to the rest. A better way of phrasing the first little bit, could be something like, "An email, sent to certain peoples' inboxes, are mostly used to deliver newsletters to subscriptors, or to advertise - whether wanted or not. Subscriptions are...(PUT EXPLANATION OF WAT SUBSCRIPTIONS ARR HEER PLZ), and advertisements are...(YOU KNOW THE DRILL. xD). There are many reasons why people opt for sending an electronic newsletter, one being the fact that the recipient will receive it instantly, and do not need to print it...ETCPLZ" Now, I know that's not my best work (clearly...xD), but hopefully you understand my point. You may be sitting there going, "SRSLY DAN, WUT TEH FARK PLZ? THIS ISN'T A FUCKING ENGLISH ASSIGNMENT!!!!" but with your standard of work, teachers will be looking at ANYTHING to pick on. In this way, teachers are much like lawyers. xDDDDDDDDDDD AND, it's an easy way to make it look like you did more work. xPPP Annnnnnd..........That's all I got for now. xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD Hopefully I helped a little. :D | |
