Just a heads up

My computer has a really bad virus. Like, one of the worst out there.
Until I get it fixed I won't be active as much. I'll still be on, just not really talking that much. Just consider this a huge inb4awayjokes.

apparently it's bamital.x but every fix i've looked up isn't working... as far as i know that is. i've run a few extra scans with malwarebytes and it's removed some stuff and avast can find it, but just not remove it.

i might wind up making another partition on this 250 gb usb hard drive i have lying around and use that but that'll take forever so i won't really get a chance to try that until saturday or something

But I'd just go with the giant harddrive idea and just move all the files you want there, make a list of all the programs that you actually use, then upgrade.

Then move all your shit there and redownload the programs.
That's what I did when my old comp died.

only reason why i'm not 100% is because i'm still pretty concerned about how avast picked it up and couldn't do anything about it

well for one it was behind the google redirect problem i had on firefox and the spyware i had been having

it now is preventing explorer.exe from running, i have to open the task manager, browse to C:\Windows, rename explorer, and run it every time i turn on my computer just to turn it on

sometimes it also causes my computer to restart randomly, but when it does it doesn't work and i have to manually restart

it also every so often effects winlogon.exe, causing a virus alert from avast

it also gets in the way of me opening folders and stuff, since, as said before, explorer.exe is infected

from what you say i seem to have the same virus

i've already started moving all my files over and i've downloaded a windows 7 iso
